Scenario: Someone has signed up with Monthli and claimed they are the owner or renter of a property within the community. However, that property currently has an owner and they are seeing a message that their status is awaiting approval. This can happen, for example, when a property is sold (change of ownership), if someone is adding a spouse as an additional owner, or a new renter attempts to claim renter status on a property.
To approve someone as an owner or renter:
- Log into monthli: https://app.monthli.com
- Navigate to the property profile for which this person is seeking approval. If you are the owner of this property, you can get to the profile by clicking on your property address in the left side menu. If you are a manager or board member, you can get to the property profile by finding it in the Roster.
- Once on the profile page for the property, on the top right of the panel that shows the property information, there should be a green pencil icon. You can click that to edit the property information. If there is no green pencil icon, you do not have permissions to approve owners or renters. You must be one of the current owners of the property, a manager within the community, or a board member to approve others.
- When editing your property, there should be a panel on that page on ther right side displaying any pending owners or renters requiring approval, and buttons for you to approve/reject.
- Click Approve and that person will now be shown as owner or renter of the property.
